What makes Huis Billiet so special?
Architect Huib Hoste built Huis Billiet with adjacent diamond-cutting factory in the 1920s, commissioned by Jules Billiet. The house owes its name to this builder.

In 1995, it was granted protected monument status by the city of Bruges. One of the first houses where Hoste experimented with De Stijl principles, it is characterised by its cubist character, use of concrete and bold play of colours in the interior.
